When asked what was their favourite sport of the fall, Throwing Smoke readers have spoken:

- 57.1% love the start of the NHL season
- 14.3% each anxiously await the MLB playoffs and the NFL year being in full effect,
- 7.1% each can't get enough of the Nascar Chase and US College sports
- While no one cares about the NBA
