Michagan upset HUGE

The two-time defending champions from former Division I-AA Appalachian State upset #5 seed and national champion hopeful Michigan 34-32 on Saturday, all but ending the Wolverines hopes for a national title early. The Mountaineers were up 28-14 late in the second quarter, but held to win with 4th quarter heroics, in front of 110,000 Michigan fans. Julian Rauch kicked a 24-yard field goal with 26 seconds left to put the Mountaineers ahead of the Wolverines and Corey Lynch blocked a field goal in the final seconds to seal possibly the biggest upset in NCAA football history.

For a storied and respected program like Michigan, this loss is embarrassing and emasculating. Even more than the time I streaked through Ralph Wilson Stadium in the midst of a December snowstorm.
