Five time Olympic gold medalist swimmer, Ian Thorpe was called in for questioning after a French newspaper ‘L'Equipe’ reported that a random drug test taken before his retirement in 2006 had shown unusually high levels of naturally occurring hormones. The news has sent shock waves across Australia. Thorpe has long been an outspoken critic of FINA's drug testing methods, saying the sport's governing body isn't tough enough on cheating. Thorpe has since denied these allegations like most cheaters have.
