Hancock was drunk

After further investigation, to no one's surprise, St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Josh Hancock was drunk and talking on his cell phone at the time of his fatal accident. Hancock's blood-alcohol level was 0.157, nearly twice Missouri's legal limit. Some marijuana and a glass pipe were also found in the rented Ford Explorer. Toxicology tests to determine if drugs were in his system have not been completed. An accident reconstruction team determined Hancock was traveling 68 mph in a 55 mph zone when his SUV struck the back of a flatbed tow truck stopped in a driving lane.

With all of the stupid decisions Hancock made in his life, it is no wonder he was just a bullpen nobody and not in a more elite position like General Manger. He would have had a long list of other stellar choices like naming Cecil Fielder as the trainer and appointing Cory Lidle as team pilot.
